Due to the high volume of retirements taking place in recent years and misconceptions about the future of oil and natural gas among millennials and Generation Z, a shortage of qualified workers has resulted. With oil and natural gas demand projected to remain strong in the coming decades, and more than 50 percent of the current workforce set to retire over the next 10 years,  careers in the industry are both well-paying and in demand.
